Express Entry Program Canada

The Express Entry Program to Canada was first introduced on January 1^st, 2015. This system has defined a tremendous step in Canada’s need to fill labor divide. What is Express Entry to Canada?

A pool of candidates is created to help decide who may be eligible to immigrate to Canada permanently. As a candidate you must be eligible for one of the immigration programs in Express Entry to get into the pool. Points are given established on the information in your profile, in addition to your skills and experiences. There are four parts to the Comprehensive Ranking System formula and candidates will receive a score out of 1,200 points. The highest-ranking candidates from the pool are then invited to apply as permanent residents through rounds of invitations.

How can you improve your Express Entry ranking?

The most essential factor in acquiring a high-ranking score is to have a certified arrangement for employment (a job offer), from a Canadian employer. In addition, there are other factors which are used to determine a candidate’s ranking in the Express Entry pool. Some of which are: Language Proficiency, Work experience, Trade Skills, and Education.

You will have 60 days give in your application when you are invited to apply for Permanent Residency. If you don’t aquire an invitation to apply immediately, you will continue to be a candidate in the Express Entry pool for 12 months, after which you can apply once again.

An application submitted through Express Entry is usually handled within six months from the date it is received.

Then you will need to provide proof that you can speak and write in at least one of Canada’s official languages. You will also need to have filed your taxes for at least three years during the last five and you must have paid any income taxes you owe.
The status of Permanent Resident is one that cannot be taken away from you unless you either fall short in meeting your residency obligations or commit a serious crime. As a Permanent Resident you must stay in Canada for two out of every five years or you will not qualify to renew your status.

Who is eligible to apply for Express Entry?

Skilled workers are chosen based on their abilities and skills and their potential to contribute to Canada’s economy.

One program is the Canadian Experience Class Program, which is a program for individuals who have worked in Canada and would like to settle there permanently with their dependents.
The second program is the Federal Skilled Worker Program: This program is built for individuals with certain work experience who want to inhabit any province or territory outside of the province of Quebec.
Federal Skilled Trades Class Program is the third, which is for skilled workers who want to become permanent residents of Canada based on being qualified in a specifically skilled trade.
Lastly, the Provincial Nominee Program allows Canadian provinces and territories to appoint individuals who want to immigrate to Canada and are interested in settling in a specific province there. The immigrants must have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of that province or territory, and must want to live there.
